ERMINESKIN QUILTING PROGRAM
Since our instructor retired we have been working on our own projects, helping each other along the way. The month of March is dedicated to making Community Care Quilts and many of us work on these throughout the year.
If you have any suggestions for a class or know of anyone who would like to teach a quilting class, please contact us.
If you have fabric laying around unused, unloved and it is 100% cotton, please contact us.
16th ANNUAL ‘COMMUNITY CARE QUILTS’
There's nothing like a handmade quilt to make you feel warm and comforted, particularly when you are faced with a challenging life event. That's why we take the time to get together and give back to the larger Edmonton community through our annual Community Care Quilts program. In the past we have donated quilts to Terra Association (serving pregnant and parenting youth in Edmonton), WIN House, St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, seniors, injured Canadian Armed Forces members and Veterans through Quilts of Valour and others have received a quilt as different needs arise.
Come join us in this 15th annual Community Care Quilts event at Ermineskin Community Hall. Quilters of every age and level of experience are welcome as well as those with no sewing experience! For those who are unable to attend the event, we greatly appreciate donations of cotton fabrics, cotton thread, and quilt batting from the wider community to support our program.
