Capital Line South LRT South extensionAdditional Information here
EPCOR is responsible for relocating all the power, water and drainage utilities to avoid potential conflicts with the Capital Line South LRT infrastructure. The Capital Line South LRT Relocation Project began in May 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. To meet the overall LRT project schedule, the City has requested that EPCOR perform the utility relocations within specific areas along the alignment prior to LRT construction. Please see the attached notice for the next stage of the drainage work on the west side of 111 Street at Blackmud Creek |

Dear Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi residents,
Since there are a number of infrastructure projects currently occurring within our ward, I would like to provide a general update on these projects, as well as some detailed information on the Capital Line South LRT Extension project. There are three attachments to this email. Attachment 1 is new information for ward residents (July 2023 update). Attachments 2 and 3 are historical information previously shared with ward residents (April and January 2023 updates), which provide further background and context about the contributions of our community residents and myself as your representative. As our ward’s councillor, I strongly believe that long-term infrastructure projects that do move forward need to be built right at the beginning (rather than doing things half-right and then needing to correct things down the road) as this is a more responsible way to use our tax dollars. It is also my belief that the input from ward residents affected by infrastructure projects needs to be considered thoughtfully. On this note, I will continue to stand up for our ward residents to reflect the best interests of both our ward residents and Edmontonians. |
